Kind of a random question but does anyone have any good flat tarp packing tips that prevent the longer guylines from getting tangled up? I seem to have to untangle at least a couple every time I unstuff mine.

So is the 2 minutes of extra time I use to fold worth the time saved untangling your lines? There are a few threads here on the pros and con's of folding vs stuffing.

Having nothing at the free ends of the guy ropes helps enormously.Cheers

Having nothing at the other end is also my plan via Skurka's knotting system. Would still prefer line locks but they didn't come on my used tarp.

Feb 27, 2015 at 9:53 am #2178358If you are getting lots of tangles, you have the wrong cord. A very firm finished cord will knot tangle easily. Thickness has little to do with it.
Here is how Outward Bound coils their tarp cords.
