Any suggestions regarding how to secure your food while at camp at Zion in Feb? The NPS site was not very helpful.. I've got a bear canister, which seems like overkill. Could hang the food, but I'm not sure there will be much in the way of trees.

If you work in any office setting, your vendors or clients have given a huge metal tin of flavored popcorn or cookies or some such at Christmas. Or look at a thrift store for holiday-themed ones for about $1. Or buy a lot of cookies yourself:
And you've got a rodent-proof container for cheap and it's lighter per volume than those expensive bear canisters.
