Just a side note for someone wanting insulated pants at dirt bag prices. I found a pair of "military insulated trouser liners" on eBay based on a recommendation from a BPL member.
I think I paid 20 bucks. They are light and have synthetic insulation. Super good deal.

About 14 years ago I bought an insulated jacket and pants from Brigade Quartermaster for $30. for each piece.
It is insulated with DuPont Thermolite Micro continuous filament polyester insulation. Shell is very light ripstop nylon (olive drab, natch) and is warmer and much lighter compared to my EMS jacket of 300 weight Polartec fleece.
I've used the suit in my WM Megalite bag – before it was overfilled – to go down below 15 F. and was very comfy. I stuffs relatively small for a synthetic and has very good retained loft when unpacked.
And I've worn this suit over polyester long johns and a sweater and under a Gore-Tex camo suit for hunting in -5 F. weather and been very warm sitting in a tree stand for hours. It is good stuff.
