Jeff Podmayer

Jeff has a background of 10 years as a backpacking and rock climbing instructor for a non-profit organization called Outward Bound where he led 14-30 day long expeditions with youth in the High Sierra and Joshua Tree National Park in California. He has also hiked 10,000 miles on long distance hiking trails such as the Appalachian Trail, Continental Divide Trail, Hayduke Trail, Colorado Trail and Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand. He is excited to share the knowledge he has gained in gear and skills with the BackpackingLight community through his many days of experience while backpacking in many unique environments.
