Backpacked since the 60s primarily in my home state of Alaska.  Went ultralight in 2010 to section hike the PCT over 5 years, then onto the AZT and other Alaska, PNW hikes. The gear, food, hydration, clothing all have applications in sea kayaking, ultra trail running and climbing.  I enjoy learning about the latest and experiences of others.
