As the name suggests, these are trekking pole pogies (similar in concept to biking pogies), designed to shed falling rain over your hands while using trekking poles. The concept works remarkably well but limits their versatility because used as a rain mitt without a trekking pole is not possible (although you can still wear them while hiking or camping and keep your hands somewhat dry). Non-breathable fabric (silnylon) was not an issue in actual use when we tested these – there’s plenty of ventilation through the opening for the trekking pole. Simple, durable, and waterproof.
