The Slingfin Portal 2P Tent is purpose-built for stormy weather. It’s the only wedge/dome tent on the market that can use trekking poles to assist in stabilizing the structure (the Slingfin “Outrigger” concept). Extra guyline tieout points on the fly sheet AND the interior of the tent (for latter stability). For the weight, it’s one of the most wind-stable shelters we know of. But make no mistake – it’s not a winter tent (the inner tent is mostly mesh) and it’s not a “bomber” (extreme conditions) tent – it’s still limited by a single crossing pole junction, and offers no geodesic panels.
