If you are an experienced user of the ZPacks Duplex or are trying to decide between the Duplex and the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Unbound 2P Shelter, there are a few key differences between the two:
- DCF-backed seams connecting the side-panel tie-outs to load-bearing corners (i.e., pole apexes). This will help distribute tension with the side panels are staked out using the mid-panel tie-out points.
- Slightly lighter materials (0.5 osy DCF canopy, 0.8 osy DCF floor) – a little less durable, but more packable.
- Zippered instead of overlapping vestibule doors (improve weather resistance in high winds and usability)
- Side rollaway interior mesh doors.
- Lower pitch – nearly to the ground surface – for better weather (especially wind) protection in stormy conditions.
