The Visp fabric breathes exceedingly well and is very comfortable when worn over bare hands. Long gauntlet, single-hand adjustable drawcords at both hem and wrist keep the fit secure – the only sub-one-ounce rain mitt that offers this feature mix. No palm reinforcement, so not recommended for high-abuse activities. Seams aren’t taped, but are double-felled and notably more water-resistant than single-felled seams like those found on other cottage-made ultralight rain mitts. Fabric comes in cool colors in addition to black! Our recommendation for a fully-featured, ultralight mitt for trail backpacking when the durability of a heavier fabric isn’t needed.
