<div id=”js_8yi” class=”_5pbx userContent _3576″ data-ft=”{"tn":"K"}”>
Spent 3-1/2 days backpacking the Teton Crest Trail in Grand Teton National Park, WY! Obtained permits at Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center, where there was already a queue an hour before opening. Walked around adorable Jackson for the afternoon, then drove my rental car to the endpoint of my hike: Leigh Lake Trailhead. Teton Mountain Taxi picked me up and shuttled me to Teton Village, where in the morning I would take the Tram up to the top of Rendezvous Mountain to start my hike. Fresh snow at the top was not encouraging, but there were enough footsteps to find the trail. There were no bugs, no smoke, hardly any precipitation, plenty of wind, loads of mud, and non-stop scenery! Oh, and I ran into a hiker on the trail that I’d met last year in the Wind River Range — what?!
