After having made a couple pairs of alpha direct pants, I decided to get a hoodie from senchi designs. Lucky for me they were actually in stock. I love this thing! I am 5-10 , 150, kinda long arms, and the medium fits me great. 3.6 oz on my scale, and warmth like a 100 weight fleece which weighs almost triple that. What surprised me is that it is warm without a shell even in a light breeze, despite the very open knit. I think they have done a good job on the details, like the fit of the elastic on the cuffs, hem and around the face. I definitely recommend.

I love AD but very surprised it feels warm to you when uncovered in a light breeze. I feel it leaking heat in still air just by walking (e.g 3mph self made breeze).

I have had both experiences (with a 90 gsm Senchi). Yes, a slight breeze is enough to dump heat with nothing over it. But, also yes, it is too warm sometimes when there is no wind at all.

I had a full-length front zipper added to mine by the seamstress at the local dry cleaner. Negligible weight and bulk, but wider comfort range.

I use the 90 (hooded with zip) all the time. I’m wearing it now. It’s about the right warmth/weight. I also always have a wind shirt to go with it. Sort of took the place of a very light puffy in many situations.  Just more versatile.
