The “Permanent Home Repair Kit” has dismal reviews on the Thermarest website.
The kittens have gotten their claws on my old Prolites. We’ll need them for car camping this summer. What would you use to repair the holes? Tenacious Tape?
Also, any tips for submerging a large pad (25″) in a small tub to find those holes?
Seamgrip works great on those little holes on the self inflators. Fold pad in half to increase pressure. Helps keep it a bit more manageable size wise that way too.
Coughlans makes a product called air stop. It is urethane resin in a solvent. It is very easy to use. I have used this successfully on self inflating pad leaks.
