Hello,

Due to snow and wet weather, I am looking for a lower elevation desert location to take my family on a backpacking shakedown trip this weekend, in the vicinity of Reno.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Howdy, not sure about trail conditions, but the Ruby Range is a beautiful oasis of wilderness.
