    I finish

I finished another pack.  I used LS21 for the bottom and back along with the bottom of the water bottle pockets.  I used LS07 for the sides, side pockets and behind the mesh.  I used the dark side out for a lot of the pack to make it brighter inside.  I think this pack is about 45 liters.  Andrew

Nice pack Andrew – using the LS21 wrong side out is a great idea!

Is that a zipper on the front panel along the side of the front pocket, with a yellow pull tab?

How did you cut and sew the pack’s bottom? Is the bottom an integrated part of a singular long front/bottom/back panel? Or was the bottom cut separately, then sewn to the side, front and back panels later?

The pack looks good. Doesn’t placing the fabric inside out mean the more durable wear layer is on the outside?

That’s a large parallelogram zipper pocket behind the mesh.  I made the back panel with the bottom connected.  I used the lighter colored LS21 for the bottom and in all high-wear areas, although I don’t know if the darker color is more vulnerable.  I might have a disease, because I’m already thinking about a different design.  Pretty fun mostly.

Haha!  That disease is called ‘striving for the perfect design’.  Most good design engineers and artists also have it, so don’t worry.  It’s only life threatening in extreme cases when it prevents you from doing anything else!
