I have a rare 6 day window over easter this year that I can use to escape for a backpacking trip.
I live in Ohio and have spent most of my Backpacking time in the Upper Peninsula at Pictured Rocks a mind Isle Royale. Â I love both trips so much that I have made them an annual tradition the past 5 years.
I also have explored the few trails in Ohio that I know of in Shawnee State Forest, Burr Oak State Park, and Zaleski State Forest.
I am looking for suggestions on spots within about an 8 hour drive of Northwest Ohio to cure this cabin fever I’ve been feeling.
Things that I have briefly researched are:
Dolly Sods, Boundary Waters, Smoky Mountains, and Various Other UP Adventures, like the Porkies and Grand Island.
Any Insight is appreciated.
