I used to order dehydrated onions, carrots, tomatoes, and bell peppers from packitgourmet, com

I just went there and they don’t seem to be selling that anymore, just meals

I’m waiting for a reply from them.  Maybe I just wasn’t looking at the right place or whatever

Where does anyone buy dehydrated onions, carrots, bell peppers, and tomatoes?

I dehydrated a little this summer, because I had extra that needed to be preserved, but mostly I’m too lazy.  If I had the right tools it would be easier to prepare and dehydrate large quantities, but for small quantities it’s a lot of work.

I often use “Just Veggies” from Karen’s Naturals https://www.shopkarensnaturals.com/

They used to have dried tomatoes but I don’t see that anymore. No separate onions or peppers either. Lots of dried fruit – that I have not tried.

A blend, so not quite what Jerry’s looking for, but this has been very good for me

I sift out the “soup” base

I order my dehydrated beans and peas from here, and they’re all very good.  The peas are especially flexible in recipes and high in protein for a veg

Jerry, If I don’t dehydrate or freeze-dry them myself, I usually buy off Amazon now. I do a ton of links on Trailcooking so readers can see what I prefer.

Sarah, I just want to give a well deserved “THANK YOU” (yes, shouting) for generously sharing so many recipes on your helpful web site.

I’ve used many, modified for my tastes, available ingredients and needs.  Half the fun of trip planning for me is picking the meals.  Thanks for helping make this challenging with so many options :)

I’ve been pleased with quality of freeze dried & dehydrated vegies from Mother Earth, directly & using Amazon.

    Packitgourmet responded

They said they don’t sell veges anymore, just meals

They suggested Harmony House.  I ordered from them on amazon

I have ordered from harmony house before, I think packitgourmet was out of what I wanted.

The harmony house food was just as good as the packitgourmet food.  And they have just as complete a selection as packitgourmet had.
