Now, only $50 instead of $80!
I’ll stick with my Gatorade bottle that’s lighter and which was free from the recycling bin.
Dec 10, 2024 at 1:01 pm #3824086Dood…that’s what a bush is for. Did an Influencer recommend that?  :)
To quote Dimitri Martin: “Hiking is just walking where it is ok to pee”.
Dec 10, 2024 at 1:34 pm #3824087if you were in your tent during a blizzard or rain storm then that bottle would be useful
David’s solution would work just as good, weigh less, cost less (zero)
Dec 10, 2024 at 1:52 pm #3824089Winter camping = pee bottle. Always.
As Dave T says, a Gatorade bottle serves well. The new contents will look right at home.
Dec 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm #3824091I wonder what the “sport” is.
Dec 10, 2024 at 2:34 pm #3824096Fully 3/4Â of the junk YouTube influencers recommend as stocking stuffers or xmas gifts, are things I would never buy. Lots of crap out there just waiting for a post-holiday landfill. When backpacking, less really is more – fun.
Dec 10, 2024 at 4:02 pm #3824100But can you attach a filter to it?
Dec 10, 2024 at 4:09 pm #3824101That’s what my 32 oz soft side wide mouth nalgene is for. Now make it 40oz and we’d really have something!
Dec 10, 2024 at 5:43 pm #3824104That awkward moment when you realize you should have brought a 40…
Dec 10, 2024 at 11:47 pm #3824116Also known as 5am?
Someone posted the results of a study that said the body cant hold more than 32 oz. Damn lies and statistics!
Dec 11, 2024 at 6:38 am #3824120Now we’re just bragging…
Not going too far down this rabbit hole. 5am is often the coldest part of the day. Jerry makes a point about being useful.
The advantages  of a Gatorade bottle may vary be gender. They have a wide mouth (the bottle), plenty of volume, they’re cheap to replace. They have a good volume to height ratio. Disadvantages are they don’t pack easy and create dead space. Slightly heavy. For the modest, they  don’t hide the content.
The PeeSport.  Collapsible would be an advantage.  Poor volume to length ratio unless you’re standing. They hide contents. They look to heavy. Throwing away is discouraged by the price.
Laughable. Not a terrible idea. I think it could be redesigned using a water bladder. A filter for the hardcore.^^^^Dec 11, 2024 at 6:40 am #3824121Moving on…
Dec 11, 2024 at 7:13 am #3824125That’s obviously not going to hold any urine. Is there an outer bag or something?
Dec 11, 2024 at 7:42 am #3824127Hiker humor. Trail talk. If you know, you know.
Dec 11, 2024 at 8:29 am #3824130I’d be too groggy to safely hit the Gatorade opening. The Nalgene bladder is a safe target.
Its collapsible but weighs 2.1 oz so only bring it shoulder season if heavy rain is forecasted. Nothing worse than getting wet @ 40F then crawling back into bed. Had to use it a few times.
Dec 11, 2024 at 10:35 am #3824141Too easy a target takes the “sport” out of it.
1.7 ounce for the 32 oz Gatorade bottle. $1.72
2.1 ounce for the 32 oz Nalgene canteen. $25 (collapsible)
Dec 11, 2024 at 7:07 pm #3824183They haven’t sold Gatorade in 32 oz bottles for several years. They are 28 oz now.

But the colon cleanse instructions before a colonoscopy still assume you can buy 32 oz Gatorade to mix with laxatives.
Dec 12, 2024 at 5:06 am #3824196I’m so out of touch.đź¤
Dec 14, 2024 at 4:55 pm #3824338I did try Gatorade once (only). The idea of drinking even 28 floz of it does not appeal.
Cheers
Dec 14, 2024 at 5:31 pm #3824346The thought of drinking 28oz of gator aid pale in comparison to the next part !!
ThomDec 14, 2024 at 6:00 pm #3824359errrrr yes.
Dec 15, 2024 at 6:22 am #3824387Wife and I both use a 2 liter soda bottle cut in half. Much easier target. Must pour it out right after use. Not a secure storage container for inside the tent.
Dec 15, 2024 at 2:39 pm #3824425Dudes, you already have the part you need, don’t you? Just go outside behind a tree (that no one leans on). Don’t buy or bring anything else. My two cents as a female; even I don’t need anything. Nature already figured this out for us.
