Cool! Or should I say, COLD! I was amazed that your little dogs made that trip! They must have been freezing, up to their bellies in snow.

Some of those packs were HUGE!
No snowshoes or skis? Hard work without them.

    Cheers

I was amazed that the dogs made it too considered the amount of snow. It was a tough hike for everyone;)

I did not have snowshoes or skies on this trip, so it was really hard work! Luckily the sow was light;)

Thanks for the nice video. Beautiful country.

As a backcountry skier I’d have used my ASNES Combi-Combat Norwegian military skis (I own a pair of 215 cm. Combi-Combat skis).  Skis are SO much better than snowshoes.

For the mountains here in Nevada I use shorter, wider Atomic TM telemark skis with climbing skins. On either pair of skis i have Voile’ safety release 3 pin bindings with Scarpa T3 plastic tele boots. At night the Scarpa boot liners go in the foot of my sleeping bag so they are nice and warm in the morning.

My -20 F. goose down bag and REI  insulated air mattress in a solo tent are usually good to -15 F. Haven’t been in -20 F. except in a snow cave.

    Post MORE winter videos please.

I think he meant minus 20 Celsius.

    Cheers
