    @zelph2

    Came across these photos in my photobucket albums:

    I am impressed (not) by the boil times being given down to the nearest 1/100th of a minute.

    I’m impressed (not) that 12 of 12 fractional minutes are all under X.60 and none are over X.59. It’s almost as if min:sec got displayed as min.decimal min without any conversion. AAMOF, it looks exactly like that. Because the chance of that distribution happening at random is 0.22%.

    I was wondering the same thing

    Maybe some stoves were measured to the nearest 0.01 minute, some 0.5 minute, and some 1 minute

    and who cares about boil time, I want to know ounces of fuel used : )

    That little sign was posted on an end of isle display in a sports supply store along the AT about 10? years ago.

    I like the cross section of the stove

    Must be a regulator stove?  Soto?

    Yes, cross section of the Soto :-)

    Only those folks that use alcohol stoves want to know “how fast” LOL

    I have a Brunton CRUX and it is a very good stove. Nice wide burner to avoid a hot spot and folds for minimal space when packed.

    Used the CRUX burner for 10 years and it is utterly reliable.

    I like that the picture on the sheet in the upper left is clearly a Whisperlite. Still laugh about this name. Bomber stove, but it’s ANYTHING but “whisper-y” or lightweight.

    It’s what we like about canister stoves in the morning…they are so “whisper-y”

    It is less noisy than the Dragonfly. All things are relative.
