    I could read it

    When you visit the redwoods there are these rings of trees.  From past fires.

    now that I think of it, I think those rings of trees are a result of people chopping down the tree, not a fire.  Redwoods didn’t burn because they’re so tall and their bark is so thick.  Has to be a big fire.

    it showed a ring of shoots coming from the base of a redwood tree that was killed by fire

    the forest is recovering from forest fire

    I don’t know why I could read it : )

    Those look like ferns.

    Creosote grows in rings.
