Anyone have instructions for making the aluminum back stays for a Gregory Z Pack Backpack? A diagram or complete direction would be great.

Sorry, I do not, but perhaps it might be easier and more cost-effective just to see if they are available from Gregory Service and Repair?

This application requires a very specific type of “spring aluminum” as McHale used to call it…

Thanks Bob Moulder, I have sent the info to their Service and Repair. We’ll see what happens.

Found out a few minutes ago that the Gregory Z Series Backpack does not use aluminum back stays, but rather a wire U-shaped frame with an X reinforce in it. Don’t know if I can fabricate this or not. IF I had a picture I’m sure I could. Does anyone have a picture or a sketch of this wire support frame? I can do the measurement if I only knew what it looked like. PM me if you can help. Thanks for every ones help.
