    If you add 4 grommets and some guylines it could be used as an emergency parachute.
    I can see some use for it as an improvised toboggan for some fun and speed too.
    If you make the inside in reflecting aluminium you might just be able to use it as a solar oven too.
    With this cover and some baking soda I would have pretty much everything I need for the long trails.
