When I sign on to my REI account, it says to check back after March 14th to view my 2011 dividend balance.

Go to your REI account on line (or create one), click on "Find Your Dividend Balance" and you will get:

Looking for your 2011 dividend?

Please check back after March 14, 2012 for your new balance.

there's usually a 25% off one regular-priced item about 2-3 times a year, I think they launch next one when they send dividend notices, from memory of last few years.

I'm hoping for a big dividend, I bought a bike there and I been using the REI creditcard for all my business expenses :)

Nice thing is you can take dividend it as cash, the universal discount…..

Another anecdote:

I am looking to purchase an expensive item for which a big rebate is being offered through 3/22. I asked if I would get the 20% off coupon that comes with the dividend before then.

The customer service desk rep called her manager and he said dividends would be mailed (starting?) 3/21 and the coupon would be effective starting then.

I think maybe he read that here :-)

I used my REI card for all my business expenses this year also. I am hoping for a pretty decent dividend. I am looking to upgrade my older Half Dome to a newer family tent!

Dividends are now showing up online, even though it said to check back on the 14th

Yep, dividend shows up for me now. But I still don't know when the 20% off sale starts. Hopefully soon.

20% Off usually happens around March 15-25, so I'd say in the next week or 10 days? Just a guess though…

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Going to check mine now. Let's just say this: my fiancé and I got back into skiing this season. We upgraded our older stuff to all new stuff…at REI. Rut ro raggy.
