Had a chance the last two weekends to try out the boxer briefs, and they fit the bill quite nicely. They are seriously light weight. They have excellent wicking characteristics. They don't ride up into the gluteal crack. The waist band doesn't cut into the waist. Their groinal pouch is seriously designed to prevent sweating and chaffing, and creates quite an impression in camp, if you know what I mean and I think you do. :-D Free at last. Free at last.

The only issue might be durability. Their main ingredient is eucalyptus fiber, which is "green" but so far as I know is untested for strength and durability. Time will tell.

Doing a quick search it looks like the fabric they are using is Tencel and it is closely related to rayon. Do these get pretty smelly quick?

I didn't notice any stink, but I wore them only two days running. However, given the 90-degree high temperatures, the lack of odor was pretty impressive. They are very thin but strong.

The inseam was comparable to other boxer briefs I've worn.

Which boxer briefs are those? My Patagonia boxer briefs are very short. I have 7" and 9" inseam UA briefs. I also have 9" inseam C9 boxer briefs. I would hope that it's very comparable to the length of the C9 briefs and nowhere close to the Patagonia's.

My smalls are 5 inches along the inseam and seem quite comfortable to me. The groinal cup design prevents any chafing and they fit snugly enough, even on my small frame to prevent any riding up. My slightly bowed legs have always prevented any thigh chafing.

2.2 oz, 62 grams for my size small, which fit my 33-inch waist perfectly. I'd take a medium in all of the bb brands I've tried. Most of the weight is in the waistband, which is a bit wider than others, partly accounting, IMO, for its comfort in that area.
