This was a lone plant with no others to be found anywhere on the walk. Living in a tiny microclimate, I suppose [are there giant microclimates?].

Mar 2, 2010 at 1:19 pm #1580684I guess that's why they call the family the "Stonecrop" family. Great little plant and great photo!
Mar 6, 2010 at 2:58 am #1582722I hike up here a few times a week before work to catch the sunrise, the trailhead is only a mile from our house.
Mar 6, 2010 at 3:33 am #1582724Great place to catch a sunrise, Karl. I'm heading up there today for a last good look before I head out of state for a while. Bald Rock is without a doubt THE gem of the park.
Mar 6, 2010 at 3:49 am #1582726I catch your blog from time to time. Looks like you have a great year planned. I am envious! I don't have that much time, but am planning on doing the Colorado Trail at the end of the summer.
Mar 6, 2010 at 4:34 am #1582728Maybe we can compare trip photos when we get back :) I'll have to get out to CO one of these days. Happy trails, Karl!
