Island lake with Oakley July 3 – 5

My wife needed a little break from our rambunctious 6 month old puppy Oakley so I took him on a short 5 mile two night trip to Island lake in the Alpine lakes wilderness off of Snoqualmie pass. This was also my first time in the Cascades because I live so much closer to the Olympics. Both of us had a great time.

I was surprised to still see snow in some of the photos. I bet that puppy was awfully tired at night.

My wife and I were there the following weekend.

It sure was busy on the way down. We counted 122 people and 9 dogs.

Same here. I probably saw more people in 1 day than in all the other days combined this season. It was good for Oakley tho and luckily our camp was nice and quiet both nights.
