I’m thinking of buying a Thermawrap jacket. Since Mont Bell distribution is non-existant in Europe, I’m gonna need to order this one online. I’m a bit unsure though about the sizing. I normally wear a large (arc’teryx, western mountaineering flight, …) but I haven’t got a clue how this compares with Mont Bell’s sizing. Not exactly the thinnest person and kind of broad shouldered. Any suggestions on what I need: L or XL ?

Sep 24, 2005 at 1:59 pm #1341959Some Montbell garments show JAPANESE sizing. In that case, just “up” it by one notch. In other words, US/EU “medium” would be a Japanese “large”.
Sep 24, 2005 at 2:21 pm #1341961I got one of the new Montbell Thermawrap Parka’s a few weeks ago. I am 6′ tall but only weigh 150 pounds. I do have long arms and my chest size is 38″. I got the XL size and it fits me perfect.

Sep 25, 2005 at 12:09 am #1341977Roger,
not a big deal. just 1) make a similar post where Kevin suggested (also add the size of the jacket to your post), then 2) come back here & edit your post – perhaps, just put a link to your new post in GearSwap into your msg in this thread.
if you need help putting an active hyperlink in a post: 1) search the Forums and check the index – there should be something out there. this topic has been covered, or 2) make a new Thread with a post asking how to do this, and i’ll explain how in that Thread.
sounds like a deal for someone the right size.
