Hi, I'm looking to but some 1.5" nylon webbing for a hipbelt. What sites do people use? I saw some on Seattle fabrics but their shipping rates look high. Any recs appreciated. Thanks

As a rule, small orders (like a few yards of webbing/cord/zippers, etc.) have a high ratio of shipping costs. Z-Packs is pretty reasonable for small orders, but their widest webbing is only 1-inch. Maybe try an eBay or Etsy search for what you want; sometimes you can get cheaper shipping that way.

http://www.questoutfitters.com They seem the most reasonable. Usually reduce the shipping costs after you order.

Quest is great – I've ordered webbing and such from them several times. If you are confused about what exactly to order (they stock a wide variety of webbing), they can help you out. As Ken said, they will reduce the shipping cost after you order and only charge you what it costs them.
