"The bad news is it's hell, they only serve Budweiser…." damn, I knew I shouldn't have clicked that link!
Nov 3, 2015 at 9:46 pm #2235961Overall this sounds great, and by actively engaging our mlifers with the advertising campaign, maybe the ads will become better for everyone. I hope the new BPL is like packlessbemore.com, that is a great example of a well done site focused on the outdoors. BPL should have a blog like that with fun short stories by members and staff. They could show trips from all the good areas like the Cascade in the PNW to the Everglade in the ASE, plus the Sierra and Rocky in the middle. More trip reports with great photos and mini articles. A little more focused on the trip than the weight. I can't wait to see what the future BPL looks like now that the community is getting involved !

Nov 6, 2015 at 2:57 pm #2236501from Facebook post Backpacking Light is launching a company/website directory soon, to coincide with the launch of its new website, with FREE listings available to any company or website who wishes to be included in what we hope we be a valuable resource for our readers. Please take an opportunity to submit listings if you know of a company or website that should be included in this directory! http://goo.gl/forms/TuwukD4sw6 A peak at what it might look like AdBlock will keep busy.
Nov 6, 2015 at 3:03 pm #2236502Thats a lot of advertising space reserved for irrelevant companies for site that charges its users money to participate. Do we need three subscribe buttons on one page ? Is the shop coming back ? Will Shipnik be handling the postage ?
