Just wanted to suggest adding a new Forum topic entitled The Natural World, for discussion and photos of flora, fauna and geology? Many times I'd like to ID a plant or animal or rock/geological formation/phenomenon – this would be a great place to do it. Case in point – a new bird species I'd like to ID from the photo.
Many members are highly interested in the animals, plants and geology encountered on trail.

This is a much more pleasant concept than a medical discussion sub-forum on which members post pictures of a rash and ask strangers to identify it.

Apr 13, 2015 at 2:39 pm #2191629Yes please do.
Apr 13, 2015 at 2:40 pm #2191630File a support ticke and PM Roger to get this done. Posting here only will most likely yield no results. That is how I got the hammock forum going here.
Apr 13, 2015 at 2:52 pm #2191634Done and done. Ticket + PM. Roger should just about be waking now in Australia. Think he'd approve.
David, I think a hypochondriac/rash sub-forum could be a lot of fun.
If anyone else wants to see this happen, please say so, and hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.
Apr 13, 2015 at 3:13 pm #2191641Another +1.
Apr 13, 2015 at 3:58 pm #2191645I am all for it. There really isn't a good place for this now and for many of us the natural world is one of the biggest reason we hit the trail.
Apr 13, 2015 at 4:23 pm #2191649Yes, please! That's an excellent idea!
Apr 14, 2015 at 4:46 pm #2191943Yes, please and thank you!

Apr 15, 2015 at 4:42 am #2192052Another +1 from an Ecologist :-)

Apr 15, 2015 at 8:25 am #2192102A naturally occurring type of grafting, looks like.
When trees or branches rub together and expose the cambium they sometimes grow together like that.
I have never seen one that cool in person though.Apr 15, 2015 at 3:08 pm #2192211+1000

Is Ryan at home right now? I don't know.Cheers
Apr 26, 2015 at 1:14 pm #2194799What. Great idea, and why not?!? It wouldn't cost any think yo add a heading, would it?
Apr 26, 2015 at 2:48 pm #2194822Apr 26, 2015 at 2:52 pm #2194823I just e mailed someone who might be able to help with this.
Apr 27, 2015 at 8:17 pm #2195187Thanks Ken, hope it happens soon. It's a no brainer – so many folks here want to show what they found and get ID's, see what others are seeing, etc. and it's good for the site – would attract more members and a potentially wider demographic and keep people on the site longer. What's not to love? Perhaps just a matter of Ryan noticing the ticket, Roger's email or this thread.
Apr 27, 2015 at 8:54 pm #2195198Is the administration normally this uncommunicative?
