    Losing the camera, tripod and GPS dropped 21.8oz and cost nothing. :^)

    Interesting that this is the exact weight of the Zpacks Duplex with stakes and stuff sack, which was about $600… grrrrr!

    Reminds me of the "Seinfeld" Even Steven episode… in reverse… I paid for and still own the camera, tripod and GPS, which together cost about $600… double grrrrr!…

    You should be able to find individual packets of antibiotic ointment at cvs/Walgreens. They have bacitracin individually wrapped at my local cvs. There's no reason to get the triple antibiotic one in particular.

    I'm about to try a Trailpix to replace a tripod. If you use trekking poles already, it's a very lightweight way to use a tripod on the trail. I haven't tried it for long exposure astrophotography yet, but it feels pretty darn stable to me.
