More of an epilogue than a third instalment; I covered most of what I saw in parts one and two. There were one or two things, however, that I couldn’t let go without a mention. The above for instance, was so new it had been finished off literally the night before the show. BPL readers will be familiar with the ATK Newmark binding; it has featured in a few articles now. As you can see in the photo, this new version has a U spring heel lock so that the boot can be locked down and used like an alpine downhill boot:

Those skis have an appalling amount of sidecut – for touring skis. You would be struggling to shove the nose through the snow at any speed. One wobble and you would be turning at right angles. And those HUGE boots…
Yeah, I am used to lighter XC ski gear, and straight Nordic skis. Oh well. Snow in Oz is dying anyhow.
Thanks Matthew

"Cuben Fibre abrasion patches"
Bit of an oxymoron, I'd say.
Geez those cuben abrasion patches are a poor idea. I generally like cuben, but abrasion is it's worst aspect. It's not a material you add in to high abrasion spots.
The cuben wear patches feature in other items in Peak Performance's 'Blacklight' range.
I didn't bother including them for obvious reasons.
