The Hyperlite Mountain Gear 40-Degree Quilt weighs less than one pound and features a 40-degree (F) rating, 7d nylon fabrics for both the shell and lining, 1000 fill-power DWR down, vertical baffles in the main body section, and one of the better pad-attachment systems we’ve seen on any quilt.
It’s missing box baffles and a draft collar, but these are features we don’t find too useful at this temperature rating.
This HMG quilt is expensive for its temperature rating and weight, but offers precise cut-and-sew quality, premium materials, and a very nice side-entry “pod”-style waterproof stow bag made with Dyneema Composite Fabrics.
