We really like using a 50 deg F-rated Enigma APEX, built a little bit oversized, as an overbag for our summer down quilts for use in wet, cold, and snowy fringe seasons. The use of a synthetic overquilt like this keeps the dew point out of the down bag, preventing condensation buildup. And Enlightened Equipment offers coupler straps that allow two quilts to be easily layered without having them slide off of each other.
