Tent has a solid nylon fabric interior and included external cross poles, so this tent can be used for either 3-season or 4-season trips.

The 3- season Tarptent Scarp 2 configuration has a cool design to provide room and save weight. It has one single lateral hoop pole, the fly and solid fabric interior pitch as one unit, it has two side entry doors with vestibules, two top vents, and 18-inch struts at its truncated ends provide decent tent height at the ends. The solid fabric interior may be a little warmer inside in the summertime, but it improves life when it is windy, and blocks dust very well.

For 4-season use, this particular tent includes optional exterior cross poles for winter reinforcement. The solid fabric interior retains heat inside better than mesh, and is preferred for use as a 4-season tent. The cross poles provide extra support for snow loads.
