One of the finest winter sleeping bags ever sold. I originally purchased the bag in May 1976 and used it winter and summer for about 100 nights in the late ’70s and early ’80s and then 7 nights since 1982. The bag has been stored, uncompressed, in a breathable storage bag and is in perfect condition except for a minor repair at the drawstring hole. The measured loft is 9″, the same as the original spec. The Snow Lion rating was -20 F, which compares well to the current Western Mountaineering Puma. The weight is 3 lbs 11 oz. A double zipper (inner and outer, see photo) totally eliminates drafts that no draft flap can. Roomy, even with an inner shell smaller than the outer shell. Tulip-bulb end gives extra foot room. No draft collar. I was warm sleeping at -15 F with only an ensolite pad underneath.
