Brand new, never used OV ShadowLight backpack. 60L volume (plus more with roll-top collar extension), with an internal frame, at just under 2.0 lbs (0.90 kg)!
Aluminum rod U-shaped “hoop” stay, well-padded hip belt and shoulder pads, and removable foam back panel sit-pad. Unique feature is long vertical zipper down the center of the back, to access gear in the main compartment without opening the roll-top. Four external side pockets, two compression cords per side. Two large hip-belt pockets, plus two tall stretch-mesh pockets on back. 100D Robic Nylon w/ 200D Spectra Ripstop, 210D Robic Nylon w/ 400D Spectra Ripstop fabrics.
So why am I selling it? I bought this with the intention of using it for a winter trip / long-approach mountaineering pack, but I don’t think the suspension system is quite sturdy enough to carry the 40-45 lb loads that I sometimes need for mountaineering. And I already have a pack in the 45-liter range, so I didn’t get their smaller version.
But if you want the option of packing larger volume loads (such as winter sleeping bags and clothing that are bulky but not necessarily heavy), and/or aren’t going to carry heavier than 35 lbs very often, this pack is an excellent choice!
Price includes ground shipping within the continental US. Message me for shipping options to other locations.
I forgot to put in the description that this is OV’s “arctic” color, which to me looks like ocean blue/green.
Bryan, it would be helpful to state you torso length and the size range suggested by the mfr for this pack.
Thanks Bill.
My torso length, that works for every brand of pack I’ve used, is 19”. OV recommends this Regular torso size for 18-21” torso height, and the Medium hip belt (which can be replaced) for 32-36” hip bones.
