This is a MYOG pack bag for a Seek Outside frame/suspension (not included). It’s been used on one 30 day backpack trip and performed flawlessly. It’s dirty as all white packs become, but in otherwise good condition.
Here are some details:
  • Approx 70ish liters. Top circ: 44″, bottom circ: 38″, height: 40″. Similar dimensions to HMG 4400.
  • Harness interface is nearly a clone of the stock Seek Outside pack.
  • Main pack is Challenge EPL 400 Ultra, harness interface and other components are 500D cordura.
  • Back pad/frame sleeve is 500D cordura and spacer mesh. It does not have any foam like SO packs, but I haven’t missed it.
  • Bottom is two layers of 400 Ultra.
  • Main seams are double-stitched and bound with grosgrain. Seams through the back panel are seam taped. The fabric is a waterproof laminate but you can get some leakage through the main seams.
  • Roll top opening is stiffened with a plastic strip.
  • Ultraweave fabric has been bomber as expected. I can’t find any signs of delamination on the inside. It’s become soft/crinkly especially in the upper rolltop area.
  • Includes a Seek Outside mesh talon, 6 gatekeeper side compression straps, and one over the top gatekeeper compression Y-strap. The talon has only been used a few times – I’ve used it primarily with a MYOG talon.
  • Weight is 24 oz. My size L Seek Outside frame, harness, and waistbelt weigh 25 oz, so you can assume a total pack weight of around 3# 1oz.
  • In case it wasn’t already clear, it DOES NOT include a SO frame, harness, or waistbelt. Designed for a 24″ SO frame.
I’m not a professional sewer, but I feel like I did a good job on this pack. Please take a close look at the photos to evaluate craftsmanship, etc. I used an industrial machine with Guterman Tera 40 thread. Materials alone for this pack were around $100 (Ultra 400 is $15-17/linear foot), and the SO talon is $50, so I feel like I’m offering a reasonable deal.
$150 shipped to the lower 48. Paypal or Venmo. I’ll cover the 3% PP fee if you go that route.
