It’s time to admit that the era of family camping has come to an end for me, now that kiddos have moved to finding their own fun instead of going on forced marches through the wilderness with me.

Up for grabs is my spruce green HMG Ultamid 4, which Max Neale celebrates as the best ultralight shelter available. It goes for $975 new. Great shape – no holes or damage, plenty of life left to give for someone who has a posse to shelter or just likes having a backcountry palace. Looking forward to putting this into the hands of someone who will put it to good use out in the woods again!
