This has been my kit for the last four years. I liked having separate pieces rather than a full tent so I could mix and match with current conditions. I made the Sea-to-Summit double-wide Nano-net work nicely inside the tarp. The entire kit weighs 14 oz and can be rolled 14″ long by 5″ diameter. The tarp alone is 9.4 oz, and probably has about 1 oz excess weight from all the extra cordage I use because much of the time above treeline I tie to rocks instead of using stakes. Price is for delivery within the lower 48. Message direct to me, thanks.
The net is bundled at the top to land in the right place for the peak. By virtue of how it is attached / stretched to the outside stakes, it drops/holds down to the ground, quite a bit wider than the pad. You don’t need to tuck it under the pad, and it is quite wide and spacious. It is very flexible so you just pull it up to get inside. It is all very basic and lightweight and is all about being minimal because you don’t want to carry extra weight and need a dry and bug free place for the night.
