Selling my Big Agnes Fly Creek HV1 Carbon. This is a semi-freestanding double-wall shelter with a nylon/mesh interior with a DCF bathtub floor and a separate DCF fly and carbon poles.
You can check out the specs at Big Agnes, but here are my two cents:
This is a very light, very packable shelter – sub 1lb – that is probably best for bikepacking or paddling adventures or backpackers who don’t use trekking poles but still like moving fast and light. It for sure has livability issues – it is front entry and not something you want to spend a lot of time living in at camp. But if you want the benefits of a double-walled, semi-freestanding shelter with the performance of DCF, this is your huckleberry. It’s my go-to bikepacking shelter as seen in the photo.
I’ve only had it out for a total of 30 nights in the last few years, and never in the desert or anywhere pokey. No holes, no tears, everything is pristine. Guylines are a little dirty, that’s about it.
It retails for $800 – which is ridiculous. I’m selling it for $500 which is way more in line with what it should be selling for in the first place.
