I’ve got an inner tent with a thick sil outside/PU inside fabric bathtub. I reckon I can trim ~150 g by replacing the floor of the bathtub with 0.8 oz DCF. I’d like to cut out the floor, run 2-sided DCF bonding tape along the edge of the void, then bond a piece of DCF into it. The bond would be PU-DCF (most likely) or (perhaps, probably not) PE-DCF.

Will they bond? Any tape better than any other for this?

Yeah, DCF tape sticks very well to PU coatings

    It’s actually 3M9485 transfer tape.
Good stuff though: I use it.

    Cheers

+1 for Roger’s comment. I’ve been using that 3M tape for many cuben projects but also with PU coatings. Surprisingly good stuff!
