I know this to be a community that sweats the details. Hoping someone can point me to a resource to help identify which Houdini I just got from eBay — year, material, cfm, etc. love the jacket regardless, but want to know details for comparison’s sake.

Pics included below in post or I’ll comment with them, but the most unique thing is that this one’s chest pocket is inside and Velcro, not zippered. Also, the sleeve cuffs have elastic all the way around. Hood adjustment is on both sides of the opening, not in the back of jacket.

I think that the Houdini is made in Vietnam and they all seem to have a pocket zip next to the name on the left side.

not sure but the Patagonia name on the front also seems to be a bit small.

The last part of the “style” used to tell you. Yours says S7 which I would say was spring of 2007 but I am not sure they made the Houdini then (I dont remember when they went from the dragonfly to the Houdini)

    Noah,

The color and pocket was used during the period 2007 –  2010 for Houdini manufacture. That  jacket is the very high aerobic version of the fabric (35 CFM and 70mm HH) which they used through 2012. In 2013, they switched to their low or intermittent aerobic fabric (3.7 CFM and 457mm HH).

Both Vietnam and China have been used as a manufacturing country for these garments.

    Ignore my previous comments…

I found a thread from 2007, the Houdini then did look like yours :
