I’m getting ready make some wind pants and wanted to know what size zippers are commonly used on some UL clothing such as my Montbell Tachyon wind shirt. It’s smaller than #3 as far as I can tell. Where can I buy it? All the usual suspects (Ripstop by the roll, Quest, Dutchware…) don’t sell anything smaller than #3. Thanks

Tents, quilts, rainwear and clothing: #3 coil-coil (OWFINC and local)

    Packs: #5 moulded teeth (local)

    Cheers

I like to deal with these guys for my low quantity zipper needs. Lots of options, $1 custom sizing, and fast.

Don’t think they have #2’s, though

My understanding is that #2 really only applies to ‘invisible zips’ meant for very light female clothing and underwear. (But I might be wrong.) They are not widely available.

    Cheers
