I’m toying around with the idea of doing the Trans-Zion Trek in a somewhat leisurely fashion NEXT October with two buddies, and I want to add a side trip through a portion of the Narrows. How feasible is it to (hiking West to East) to leave camp early in the morning somewhere near Cabin Spring, head down to the Grotto, shuttle up to where we could do maybe 6 miles round trip through the day-hiker portion of the Narrows, then shuttle back to the TH for the East Rim Trail and scurry to a camp near Stave Spring? I’m having a hard time figuring out the mileage for that, and am guessing 13+ miles, which probably would be upper limits for our group. TIA.
