    Locale: Southern California

Years ago I was driving from Phoenix to El Centro, CA late at night. The radio helped keep me awake and alert, but signals were spotty and as a station would fade away, I would use the scan button to find another station I could listen to for awhile.

Passing through Gila Bend, AZ, I was listening to the Bruce Williams Show. Mr. Williams had once been the mayor of a small town and people would often call into the show, seeking advice on how to solve problems in their own city or town.

A caller told Mr. Williams there was a problem on a road outside of town involving many deer related automobile accidents and the city had been unresponsive to the caller’s request to move the Deer Crossing sign to a safer location, so the deer could cross in an area that would be more visible to drivers.

c’mon Kat, you just want more cougars so you can take pictures of them : )

(do I need to say just kidding?)

I used to listen to Bruce Williams in the evening.  Very interesting stuff.  I had rental properties at the time so his experiences were relevant.

I’ve listened to him a time or two recently.  It seems like he devotes too much time to right wing political opinions.  I don’t remember him doing that before.  Sort of like Dave Ramsey.  It seems like we’ve become more polarized.
