I’m used to sewing Silpoly where french seams “consume” the seam allowance. I’m trying to plan on how the peak is going to turn out when I’m just taping overlapped 1/2″ cuben seams. I’m concerned that photo 1 below, while being the logical choice, seams like it will extend the panel lengths going into the peak when I add my 1/2″ seam allowance. On the other hand, photo #2 seams like I won’t end up with sharp points at the peak but rather small flat edges. This is for an asym mid (Tramplite shelter). Any advice is greatly appreciated before I start cutting into material worth more than the market rate of gold. :)
