    @nikolas

    Two questions regarding the solo system:

    1. How exactly is the silicone band supposed to work to keep the pot where it is? Is it that the bottom end of the silicone band rests on top of the cone (this is what it looks like in the picture above). Or does the silicone band wrap around the pot and also a little bit around the top end of the cone (like in the picture with the purple silicone band here https://www.storminstovesystems.co.uk/stormin-solo-setup/)?
    2. Have you compared the time to boil of this cone with to a cone that fully encloses the pot like this one  https://www.storminstovesystems.co.uk/stormin-cone/ ?

    Nicolas, in reply to your questions regarding yhe Solo System.

    1.How exactly is the silicone band supposed to work to keep the pot where it is?

    Answer:The silicone band fits tightly around the pot, and friction holds the pot and contents by suspension. The top edge of the cone and the lower edge of the silicone band prevent overlap of the band or under creep of the cone.

    2. Have you compared the time to boil of this cone with to a cone that fully encloses the pot like this one

    Answer: I have not compared boil times with any alcohol stoves or burners for this System. The Solo System was designed for being a cooking/ heating use pot and cone, mainly for dehydrated meals. As recommended, stoves/ burners with a diameter range of 40-50 mm diameter work better than larger diameters.
