There are so many wonderful opportunities for backpacking in the Pacific Northwest, but one of the best is when the snow comes to the mountains.  Fina

Thanks for posting – I live in central PA and, for the first time that I can remember, we didn’t get ANY snow this year more than a dusting.  It was really fun to see your trip and I especially appreciate all of the extra post-holing steps you had to take to shoot video of yourself slugging through the snow.

That is a great place to hone the winter skills in that region.  Thanks for posting, this reminded me of all the times back in the 90’s honing my own skills in the winter there and the great ski down the mountain there.

I feel like we’re all going to be on snowshoes in July whether we want to be or not, so it is nice to see this vid of someone making it happen. Thanks
