I’ve happened into a Western Mountaineering Bighorn -25F for very cheap, and already have a Marmot Col -20F from AH a few years ago. Comparing them they are nearly identical, other than shell fabric and baffle shape. I don’t know the fill power of the WM. I slept in both, the WM is a few inches narrower, but feels loftier. I like the hood cinch on the marmot better, but the draft tubes on the WM better.
I can’t find a year of manufacture for the WM, but am certain it is probably 10 yrs older.
Marmot is 10g heavier, but 1-2L smaller compressed. I’ve used and trusted the Marmot for ~20 nights, always with a silk liner, and an original owner, the WM comes from a person I trust with gear care, but I unknown use and washing.
I’ll likely be selling whichever I don’t choose, consider making an offer.
